This iconic Plymouth 340 “Cuda” has undergone a top-notch restoration by the esteemed team at Restorations by Rob and Tim Walsh. The meticulous process took about 18 months and was completed in 2013. The 340 Cuda is highly regarded within the Cuda lineup for its nimble handling and enjoyable driving experience.
Every detail was meticulously addressed in this comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration, leaving no stone unturned. The car now showcases a stunning B5 Blue finish that perfectly complements the newly crafted interior by Curtis Jenkins.
Originally equipped with a bench seat, this Cuda was thoughtfully upgraded to bucket seats during the restoration. Under the hood, it features a completely rebuilt 340ci engine, although it’s important to note that it’s not numbers-matching. To boost its performance, the car is fitted with an aftermarket Edelbrock Six Pack setup, electronic ignition, and air conditioning, making it both powerful and comfortable.
The drivetrain includes a rebuilt 727 TorqueFlite transmission that transfers power to an 8 3/4″ axle with 3.23:1 gears and a Sure Grip limited-slip differential. For optimal performance and reliability, all suspension components were meticulously inspected, stripped, and powder-coated, resulting in a finish that exceeds factory standards.
This outstanding Cuda’s quality was recognized when it was featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines Magazine in March 2015. With its breathtaking appearance and exceptional attention to detail, this Cuda ranks among the finest builds in its class, reflecting the skill and dedication of its restoration team.
